One of my favorite things!

Everyone that knows me, knows that I could make a list of 1000 things I love about living in Arizona, but this has to be on the top of my list! We love our citrus trees that are in our backyard. We have 13 trees so we can never use the produce ourselves so we give 75% to the food bank and we thoroughly enjoy the rest! We have fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice every morning for 6 months out of the year. This is the time of the year when we have to say goodbye to fresh squeeze juice but we get to enjoy the beautiful smell of orange blossoms in the air. I love this time of year! I feel so spoiled to be able to live in Arizona!

My roomie told me that one of her fav memories when her dad was mission president in AZ was the citrus and how they put it in freezer bags and loved it all year. She said the would squeeze lemons in baggies then pull it out add a cup of sugar and water and they had homemade lemonade year round.. Maybe freezer bags would extend your love for grapefruit and orange juice!

That is so funny to hear---we do the same thing!!! I make my own concentrate and that way we have homemade lemonade throughout the summer. With the grapefruit I freeze the juice and it turns into ice slushies in the summer.

I sure have enjoyed the citrus this year too. Looking at your pictures is making me want a cup of OJ!

It looks like you had so much fun on your Vegas trip. I am soo glad that you enjoyed the shows. I too was never a big fan of Vegas. After our last trip, I changed my mind. When are you going out of town? Is there a day we can get together?

The smell of orange blossoms is one of my best memories of living in AZ. I was just telling someone the other day how amazing it was to drive around with your windows down sniffing the air.
